I've used my wife's clothes dryer with great success, but don't over do.

Wade:
The 111W153 is very similar to the 111W155 that many much newer machines have been modeled after, the 153 if my memory serves me right doesn't have as much lift as the more popular 155 and of course it doesn't have reverse. Reverse isn't a must have but in time you'll miss the extra lift the 155 would give you. I sold a 153 here in Central Wisconsin a couple of years ago for $350, and I would expect to pay $500 to $600 for a serviceable 155, servo motor and or a new stand would up the price. Just my 2 cents worth.

Check to see the available stitch lengths on that 1245 some don't have much adjustment I'm told!

General Discussion / Joke of the day

THE BLONDE WHO  HUNTED ALLIGATORS:

A  BLONDE  JOKE THAT YOU'VE NEVER HEARD  BEFORE

After  becoming very frustrated with the attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the young blonde  declared, 'Well,  then, maybe I'll just
go out and catch my own alligator  and get a pair of alligator shoes for free!'

The  shopkeeper replied with a sly smile, 'Well, little  lady, why don't you go give it a try?'

The  blonde headed off to the  swamp, determined to  catch an alligator. Later in the  day, the  shopkeeper was driving home, and
spotted the young woman  standing waist deep in the murky water, shotgun in  hand.

He saw a huge 9-foot gator  swimming
rapidly  toward her. With lightning reflexes, the blond took aim, shot the creature and hauled it up onto the slippery  bank.

Nearby were 7 more dead gators all lying  belly up. The shopkeeper watched in amazement as the  blond struggled with the gator.

Then, rolling  her eyes, she screamed in   frustration......

Sono******h!! THIS ONE'S  BAREFOOT,   TOO!

Doyle,
Yes as I remember Sofadoc got such a good price on that Hartco tool from Ebay that some might say he stole it! It seams to me that this site on Ebay gets that tool from time to time:

                          http://stores.ebay.com/1TO4-TOOLS-and-MORE

New the tool can cost starting around $1400.00, they are used a lot to make metal lobster traps and the like.

DB;
When you talk about installing "clips" with a "pneumatic tool" are you referring to Hartco clips and the pneumatic tool that installs them? I notice the manual BW clip tool and clips that is refereed to by Sofadoc, I've used the BW clips to tie Zig-Zag springs together on restaurant booth seats using craft paper wrapped flex wire/ edge wire. Another option is using 3 prong clips and the Osborne tool made just for that clip but it is bigger and harder to use in the tight quarters created by the Zig-Zag springs.

If you can believe the Utube videos the Bengal one runs quieter than the Luis Sew from Sharp Sewing, if that matters enough to warrant spending $120 more to get the Bengal One.

A Golf Story

Jim stood over his tee shot on the 450-yard 18th hole for what seemed an eternity.

He waggled, looked up, looked down, waggled again, but didn't start his back swing.   Finally his exasperated partner asked, 'What the hell is taking so long?'

'My wife is watching me from the clubhouse balcony,' Jim explained. 'I want to make a perfect shot.'

His companion said, 'You don't have a chance in hell of hitting her from here.'

We have a base of 14" on the ground but we are expecting mid to low 40's by Wed., still lots of skiing and snowboarding on the mountain.

At our cottage at Pelican Lake Wisconsin they got 24" of snow last Monday into Tuesday during that same time we got about 7" here in Central Wisconsin.
