General Discussion / Re: Stop Storage

I store zipper pulls in empty TUMS containers.  Contents stay clean and dry, and the lid has a real hinge (not just a strip of plastic that will break over time).

Of course, you still need a place to put the TUMS bottles!

Someone in her 20's commented the other day on how beautiful my handwriting is.  My cursive is definitely not "beautiful" (I know what good handwriting looks like, and mine ain't it)... but compared to today's sloppy printing, I guess it is.  Sad, actually.

Mike, how do you keep your table so clutter-free?  My table is a crap magnet... *sob*

I really pissed her off one day when I referred to domestic machines as Suzy home maker machines.
I pointed to my twin needle Highlead and said " now this is a sewing machine ".

Sometimes I need to sew something that my Juki would shred.  Hence... the domestic(s).

If you don't have the manual, maybe this will help:

The biggest needle my domestics can handle is 16 (sold as a "denim" needle) -- yours too, maybe?  Is 16 big enough for Sunguard?

Looks really, really good.  Window graphics look sharp, too.

What? No casters.

I wanted to enhance the integrity of the organic element and pay homage to the overall natural aesthetic.

What did I just say?

Here you go:

Edited to add:  Here's a larger, more detailed version:  https://ontheupcycle.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/tree-stump-chair.jpg

You might, um... want to supply a photo... or drawing... or detailed plan...

...html, which is very outdated.

Wait... what?  Crap.

Edited to add:  I finally feel comfortable with HTML (not proficient, just not terrified to mess with it) and now there's something new and shiny I have to learn?  I hate technology.  Yes, I realize I sound old and cranky.  Get off my lawn!

I do a lot of marine work.  I use DOT.

That's good to know - thanks.  I've used DOT 20L before, but not 24L (which is what I need).  I used to buy from Fasnap because I got a discount, but looks like those days are over.
