Did you get paid for the work you did? If not, my guess is that they simply found a cheaper price somewhere else.

Can you post your disclaimer? I do not use one on my Estimates. I inspect all COM and let them know if it has problems or is short. I let them know if the fabric is not upholstery material and they get to tell me if they want me to use it anyway.

I saw a documentary recently where Canada factories were making fish sticks. They buy blocks of frozen fish from... yes, China.

I told my wife about your post, Darren. We both agree that that was a wonderful thing to do.

My wife's sister is a cat person: many cats in her house and at least 23 cats outside. She has caught them all and had them neutered.

I mentioned to my wife that when her sister dies, we could put her ashes in a cat box. I thought that was a great idea. My wife threatened to put me in a cat box, while still alive, if I even mention that to her sister.

Oh well. You try to be kind and look what happens.

Enough already! This thread has gone on long enough. It's like beating a dead horse. LOL (I really crack myself up sometimes.)

Audry? Ridder? How about Roy Rogers and his most famous, really famous, but obviously not so famous north of the border (USA border, that is), Happy Trails!!!

I took the "Tr" and replaced it with an "S". Get it? Happy Sails!

Do you remember Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger? When Trigger died, Roy had Trigger stuffed and put in his house. I wonder if he put fake horse poop on the floor to make it look more real?

Do you remember Roy Rogers and his wife Dale Evans? Roy wanted to have Dale stuffed, but he was not allowed to. The main objection he got was that Dale was still alive.

This hot weather seems to happen every year, about this same time.

Hum? Global warming?

Or maybe................................summer?

I often quote a line from the movie Biloxi Blues around this time of year:
"It's hot. Africa hot. Even Tarzan would think this is hot!"

Drink a lot of water folks, before, during, and after you are out in the heat.

Happy sails to you, until we meet again.

Happy sails to you, keep smilin' until then.

Who cares about the clouds when we're together?

Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.

Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.

This is not my guess, but it could be right. Hey, probably a coincidence here?

You put a round colored glass 'lense' on one side and by pulling the chains this keeps it in place. The 5 holes allow light to shine through the glass. There was probably different colored pieces of round glass.

A decorative folk art item.

Moyers use it at a Bris. They can do 5 baby boys at one time.

PS: just a guess?!?

Sword fights with those paper tubes?!?

Hey Mr. Sofadoc: I reported your reply to the moderator for being just a bit too funny. LOL

I have always told my kids, "Never run with scissors or knives in your hand unless they are pointed at someone else and you intend to do serious bodily injury to that person."

Here's an idea based on a really funny comment I had several years ago: Have the kids put a gun belt with two gun holsters on the ground in front of them, including the two guns. You then yell "UP HOLSTER!" The kid who gets his gun holster and guns on, in the correct position, wins a prize. Maybe use real guns and they have to hit a target like those people in the Olympics who ski and then have to stop and shoot targets.

Good luck,

General Discussion / double sided tape
June 16, 2010, 05:25:39 pm
Hello,

Does anyone use double sided tape, down the sides, for the outside back on furniture? I use metal tack strips.

Check out this video: corner pleat at 1:50 (no double sided tape but interesting), and the double sided tape at 2:10.

I was kind of hoping this was another spam post. LOL

Seriously, thanks for the info. I will definitely check it out.

Has anyone tried that oscillator tool from Dremel? It has a triangle shape on the end. Harbor Freight sells one for $39. I wonder if this will remove staples from upholstery?

I thought you were talking about rugby.

Even Beckem with his mega million contract couldn't get the usa interested in soccer.

My son spent last year in New Zealand so he's become a big Blacks fan. Other than that, I just don't hear much about your style of football.

I occasionally see a game on TV but not very often. I would think the other major sports teams here in the US of A would work to keep it out.

Dremel makes one for $99. I was going to ask if anyone has used one to strip fabric on furniture also???

Thanks,
