From other threads, I understand that foam needs to be cut larger than the desired finished product.  However, if it is a long cushion, you only add 1/2" to the measurements.

Question #1 -- at what length, do I cut the added length to 1/2"?

Question #2 -- on a round cut, do I need to increase my circumference by 1/2" all the way around?

Thanks!!!

If you are wrapping with dacron you cut the foam a bit smaller. Anything around 40" long i would only add a 1/2" total in length.
round are about the same as rectangles.

I've always use the width of marker pen (bout 1/4") which I spose makes 1/2"

Thanks for the info.  I'm ready to cut my round seats out now.  Knew I didn't want to mark the foam until we talked about this.

I appreciate all of the help that all the board members give to each other so freely!  What a great network of information this place is.
