Vent/Drain Grommets for Vynil

They are about the size of a nickle or a quarter...  They appear to be made of brass, like a regular grommet, but they have a brass screen in the center...  

I found them on the bottom of my leaning batans on my Scarab.  It looks like they will let air and water out that gets trapped in the batons.

Does anyone know where to get them...?.?  Or what the proper name is for them...?.?  

I wanted to try and restore the batans like the factory, but I have never seen this item for sale anywhere...

They are called breathers. Use to allow air to escape on vinyl visions etc.  Any uph. Supply should have them.

They are sold over here as breather eyelets (UK) or panel breather. ( Spanish )

Thank you for the prompt response, I am going to order them and the punch because I know I will be using them in future projects...  Anything to get more air in and out of the vinyl is key to decreasing mold etc...

Plus, I think they add another level to a nice Professional job.

I always put them on the back of vinyl or leather cushion covers - indoor upholstery.

Do you need stainless steel ones for marine? Does salt water eat away at brass?

Yes but I've not seen them in SS

I do 100% marine, never used them. If cushions need venting, I tend to get a bit of mesh in there somewhere.

I only use them on indoor leather/vinyl cushions so air can escape/re-enter when you sit on them.
