Fabric Supplier

I would very much like to get input on what fabric vendors everyone sells and what they have success with.

I'm in Dallas and do mostly furniture.  I have books from Greenhouse, Duralee, Scott Fabrics (for commercial work), Kasmir and Kast.

In that line, I probably sell 65% Duralee, 25% Greenhouse... Then the rest.

What I'm wondering, does anyone have a vendor of lower-cost fabrics that they can sell around $20/yd fabric?
Also, does anyone have any experience with using hanging galleries instead of books?
Do you have a fabric supplier who encourages hanging galleries and will bring them in at a reasonable price?

I'm willing to share what I know and hope you will too!

Welcome to the forum.
I'm just up the road in Greenville. I've heard of Duralee, but never had them call on me or contact me.
My fabric suppliers are (in order of sales):
Greenhouse
Charlotte
Leon's
Barrow Fabrics
A&A Fabrics (Glenwood Ark)
Neo Fabrics (New Orleans)
.....and about a dozen others making up the final 10% (National, Burch, Scott, OK supply, etc.)

Regardless, Duralee has been a really good source for us.  Do you want the sales rep's info?

I don't think it's because the topic isn't interesting. There just isn't always much to say about it. Supply sources can be such a regional thing. And many shops are almost exclusively COM now. With all the online sources at the customer's reach, it's tougher every year for a small shop to be competitive with fabric pricing. Many don't even attempt it anymore.

Many shops would rather not spend a lot of time showing fabrics to the customer. They'd rather the customer just furnish their own.

But sure, if you like Duralee better than Greenhouse, I'm interested in talking to their sales rep. You can PM the info to me if you prefer. Thanks.

Plus many dont read the buisness forum the wuestion would proly be better seen in the general.
I dont deal in fabric  so cant help.
