I have used the 3/8 to 1/2 inch jute insulation with the aluminum foil on it. Seems to be a good product, but a little pricey. $27-30 for a piece 4'x6'. What does everyone else use? New cars use a jute without any foil. Does anyone know where you can buy in bulk?

We sell it.  We call it carpet padding (we have not carried the "old style" jute in many years).

We also carry the foil-backed stuff too, foil on one side and on two.

Note that the carpet padding is much wider than the TAIPad (Thermo-Acoustical-Insulating Padding).

But neither of those web pages give any indication of the width of the product... ??

Whoops - it's the little things that matter!!

TAIPad: 48" wide
Carpet Padding: 72" wide

We're fixing the website now...
