It's interesting how different things catch some folks attention, and not others.

I am always amazed when I see people using power tools without eye protection.

Interesting videos. Thanks for posting them.

See gene I noticed the emaculate and organized shop. But then I never were safety glasses. Unless you count my fancy sunglasses. But then they cost so much I usually take them off if I'm doing something dangerous.

Where are those guys? Washington/ Oregon? Wonder if there's a Canadian division.

Nice videos, really.  Makes me feel right at home!  I used to be in and out of shops like that all the time, same thing, but real messey!

Spoilsports. What about imitation being the sincerest form of flattery? I think they're just chicken.

They do beautiful work, but I believe they'd have a hard time proving that someone copied their design.  There's only so many ways someone can make a dodger.  It's bound to happen that someone has a similar way of producing a dodger who's never even seen their work.

Yep, reckon their legal claptrap is a mere shadow of their craftsmanship. They're pretty hot.

Well lets see, eh? Count down to a cease and desist order...

Alea jacta est, ect. ad infinitum.

Personally, I'd love for somebody to copy my things. I'd love to see them make my things better, or in the worst case, I'm not afraid to learn from somebody else's mistakes!

I have delved a bit in copyright and patent law with former clients. I believe that their dodgers would fall under patent law as they are not music, literary works or art.

Since it is part of a manufacturing process I believe they would fall under patent law. This would mean a very expensive patent for each design which I highly doubt. I had a client spend $ 30 K for one tool design. They are not cheap.

i'm not sure how it works in the US but i doubt they would get a patent
in the Uk as they are only reproducing something already available
with materials so they haven invented anything new, just better looking.

Needles- I meant I threw the dice and started the game. Not that I'd cast dies or threaded holes. I normally try to eschew obfuscation, apologies.

In the spirit of good will should we not send some photo captures  to Olympia?
