Hello all

I've been looking around for some army style 1" cotton webbing around 2mm thick . The only suitable stuff I can find locally, is to buy some horse lunge leads , these I can buy in a dark bottle green , I would prefer the khaki light browny stuff .

I have some new WW2 era 1" webbing straps , but these are too short , about 10" long .  I need this stuff to make a 3 seater top for my Land Rover.. this link explains it all

Any ideas ?

Hey Mike, The place where I get my leather should have what you want. [urlwww.leffler.com.au][/url] They have just about any cotton or poly webbing you would want and they have an online shop, as it is in Kensington the wrong side of Melbourne to you, though it is worth a sticky as they have some interesting stuff, I also get a bit of my plastic hardware from them but there not the cheapest. If you don't get any joy there google Arnolds webbing I think there in Footscray.

You could try here: http://www.seattlefabrics.com/webbing.html#Type_II_A_Cotton_Webbing

Can't say what the cost for shipping from Seattle to Australia might be...

Good luck!

Jim

Thanks for that Jim

I have emailed them.... the postage would not be too bad . They are on the Pacific side anyway.  We have fast clipper ships on that route these days  ;D
