I install my fastner on the boat so a hammer tool wouldnt work well with a curtian hanging in place. i fit the panel and punch the hole and hand install the fastners

Agree totally - time is money and the less time I spend in install'n the more my profit margin.
Yes,  the tools was expensive, but not really,  when you look at the return over the long term in regards to profit.

One of our competitors got fed up with me borrowing their LTD pliers so they offered to get me one for 30 quid cheaper than I could get it for.
