hello folksI have a Juki 563
everytime I reverse to back tack I get a rats nest  on the bottom of the material
is is it the tension in the upper machine or the lower I don't know what to do

I don't know a whole lot about sewing machine repair but whenever I have a problem like this its usually something simple like lint buildup. Give it a good cleaning, Make sure there are no extra threads wrapped around the bobbin mechanism, check to make sure its threaded properly and give it a good oiling.
There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

it's probably something as simple as that
I will take a look and clean it thanks

I operate a Consew 226 at work most of the time and it can be fussy if I don't press the reverse lever all the way down. Just sayin'.
Life is a short one way trip, don't blow it!Live hard, die young and leave no ill regrets!

Had some more ideas, if the needle is bent or has a bur it can mess up the stitch. Some fabrics like micro-fiber can also be fussy with the stitch.
