I don't know if bandsaw tables have a mitre slot in them like table saws do.  But if the do you could make a sled that rides in the mitre slots to make it like a moving table

Ya that whole assembly is backwards... You'll have to flip the frame around and slide the support poles that are on the rear off and slide them on to the main bow once it's on the rear. Confusing lol. Basically only the main frame needs to spin 180 deg. But the front straps and the rear support poles stay in the same spot on the boat.  Usually the front would be just a tad lower than the rear to help prevent a parachute effect while the boat is underway

Well I seem to have a problem with my machine doing the same sort of thing(nakajima tdu-n62).  It also seems to pull the top piece of whatever I'm sewing (marine vinyl) sideways away from the bottom piece of material to where the selvage won't stay lined up. And that's with it stapled!  Is It just operator error? I'm also very green when it comes to sewing

QuotePS.  A heat gun will warm it up nicely for curved seat backs.  Works a treat!

I like to use the BBQ [everyone has one of those in the shop, right] so I can heat a larger area evenly.

Mmmm...smoked seat backs sounds good

Now that I can handle!

General Discussion / Re: What seam to use?

For me,  all white is too plain.  I spent a lot more time adding some navy swooshes and making patterns than I probably would have if I just stuck to a solid color. But being me, and as a beginner, I always tend to go the hard route and try to challenge myself more than I should

What is this PVC foam board y'all speak of?  Where can I find it?  Do staples hold well in it?

Correct there was no swoosh there before. Heck there was no interior in there before either ha ha.  Ya I plan on usin 1/2" sew foam   Basically a swoosh or curved stripe on the back cushions.  I don't want plain white cushions. Also I am not going to using welting

What seam should I use to join accent color on boat cushions/upholstery?  I've got white as the main color and want to add some sort of stripes/swoosh's with navy for the accent color and navy 138 thread

When wood dries,  it warps to the dry side.  The best thing to do would be to stand it vertically or lay it flat on some dunnage to allow airflow around entire piece. And not in the sun. Concrete always has moisture in it so you need to get the piece a few inches or so up off the concrete with enough dunnage to support the entire piece. If you have a lot of material, you can stack it but each piece needs to have airflow around it. Use some thin pieces of wood like 3/4 x 3/4 to seperate the wood (wood workers call it stickering)
