18' Doral sleeper seats.


Fancy shmancy finished product.

This boat's an upholsterer's dream. Or nightmare. Frikkin' Frenchies. Setting loose this upholstery on an unsuspecting world. Shoulda kept it in Quebec. Like this thing!


Thats all back-tacked. With a hole in the middle. On a flimsy piece of flopsy 3/8". Almost took as long to upholster as the 4 sleeper backs. I'm shocked I got it on the first attempt. *pats back* Now I've got to get it back in the boat. 1 bolt, 4 push plug dealies, and 6 screws. In this wee little pad. Frikken Frenchies....wait till you see the side pads...

Glad this one is done. Was nervous about it when I first saw it. Didn't turn out to be as impossible as I thought. Those frenchies sure can upholster stuff.

Your work is really good!!  What type of vinyl did you use?

Mostly it's Spralding Soft Side. Thats what most of these jobs are. It's my favorite.

Really nice looking work, Peppy.  Doral makes a quality boat IMHO and that vinyl work really sets it off.

Thanks June! I agree, Dorals are good boats. They used to make them nearby, I worked with a couple guys that worked there. That notwithstanding, they are well built boats. Just all that curvy shapey finicky whatsit. Sacra-blu!

Well, another one done! Feels good after all that work laying around all winter to have it put away.








and then the boat top. Feels good. First one I've made in months.


the owner is coming to look at it tomorrow. I'm really happy with it. Hope he is too.
