Ive been using monel staples. When I was looking at the application chart stainless wasnt recommended in salt water. I like the idea of never rusting, See so many boats with those rust streaks running down from the leaning rails etc...

You got to love it!  Sometimes you really need rust proof hardware, like those t-nuts!

But really, who needs a SS Tnut if the wood's rotten and it just spins anyway? Then the wood will be just rotten enough to let the Tnut spin, but not pull out. So then your stuck just the same. Save your money and galvo it up is my thinking.
