Im finding it a bit tough getting on the forum from the desk top or lap top. For some reason not a problem using the iPhone. There surely is a link on the upholstery supply that could use a tune up and or my updating the favorite/bookmark.

Hi, I see that the link url has been changed, and the current one is not working. It's not my doing. I have to message the owner to find out what has happened. There are a couple of ways to correct it, and I need to find out what they want. In the meantime use this one: http://www.upholster.com/upholstery-forum/index.php

I bought a new lap top last week. It is sooo much faster. Videos especially and it has Windows Ten. Took me a while to learn the ins and outs of a new program. My new URL for the forum is the same as Inger's. My only problem now is I have to log in each time I visit here.

Most browsers are able to save logins. I never use Internet Explorer or Edge other than for testing when I create websites, I use Firefox as my default browser. It stores the logins for you if you opt for that.

So does Chrome and Edge and all older versions of IE.

I just noticed that the stat page is no longer accessible.

I used to get a laugh out of it. Since I never log out, I was kicking everyone's ass in "Most time spent online".

Its weird, Normally when I log into other sites and use my password a window opens and asks if I want to save the password. The forum doesn't. I checkmarked the "always stay logged in" box it still always asks for my password. I bet it has something to with this new computer. Its not a big deal.

I'm using edge that came with the computer. Before I always used Firefox. Also I've always used Norton for security. The guy who sold me the computer told me Norton slows down a computer because it is always doing background checks. Is this true?

My daughter was travelling recently. She was trying to print off her tickets at the hotel's computer the night before her flight back home.

She tried in vain several times, but couldn't get the right boxes to pop up. Finally, the hotel desk clerk came by and noticed that she was using IE as her browser. He switched her over to Chrome, and instantly all her problems went away. He said that there is a lot of software that is no longer compatible with even the latest version of IE.

Norton and Mcafee have been hogs for years now. They do slow your system down. Windows 10 has built in protection. You don't need Norton or any paid for software anymore. Realize no piece of software will protect you 100% from every issue. I have run Win10 since it came out and used Microsoft's AV software for years without issue. Look at you start menu "Windows Defender Security Center" Uninstall Norton. It was good in the 80s but got to hoggish.
