I have to make up a bit of my own acrylic binding which is a pita, I recently bought a binder that your surposed to be able to put in a flat strip of canvas & it gives it a double fold, so no raw edges. It does work, but not with the acrylic that I need  >:(  It needs tweeking somehow as the acrylic seems to thick.

Hi Morris

Same state but different world in the western districts, dry a bone here.

I reckon forget the binder, I only started using one 10 years ago and I probably wouldn't use one on the job your doing, if its a traditional job your doing then they probably didn't use one on the original. Look at these, I know it's carpet but that's the way I do it when I want to bind in the same material, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K-qg6rvl7k   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbPLrzq9NMM

The cheaper binding guide are more trouble than what they are worth.

I like that they show so many different ways to do that in one tutorial. My favourite is the last one where you backstitch the binding and then stitch in the ditch.
