After looking at many post, and enjoying the thoughts or comments present and past I have ordered "my first" new BEA 71 series, new style standard. Thanks

FYI during this search I found that most staplers could be thinner for Hidem welt and similar situations where the nose is sliding through.  Europe's finest has known this for a while also because I found something on the BEA,USA site the other day and now its off.

This stapler model was only listed if I searched the industrial selection in boats only, not interior, not rv, not furniture, But boats hmmhh!
Why you ask because I looked later generally and couldn't find it.

So I did my job and ask through an email where to get the particular model 12000324 called "profil",
I had a nice reply but was informed it was only available across the pond.
It is like the standard new edition but with a thinner nose piece Part#14405157 and from looking at the different parts break down the numbers with all other items related to the build are same as standard except this special part, giving me the confidence that if this is available at a reasonable cost why not get it because it will fit.

This probably is a part that's been around yet I am a new buyer so have not a clue in the past.
If someone has a phone number to a parts person I would be curious on any findings.

Good Day

You can grind the nose of the BEA, or any other brand so that it will be thinner for double welt or Hide-em.

I'm not that familiar with the staplers from BeA, but here a link which lists the stapler in question.
http://www.bea-group.com/bea/pdf/_uk/uk_Catalogue_2011.pdf
if you do a search on Google use "Stapler 71/16-421"
There are a couple of outfits which list the stapler in question. Prices are good too, my Haubold Staplers are more $$$. I do like the nose of your stapler in question, but if I have the need for something like you want, I use my long-nose stapler and problem solved.

Thanks guys, been looking at different ones for a bit.

Sofa  I might have to do some custom grinding, its always an option and I like having them.

Wizzard  appreciate the pdf its pretty cool, Just looked at some new to me Haubolds nice!, they resemble some Grex models I also seen recently.

Theres several out there to look at for sure, well I will check this one out when it gets here.

Again thanks for the info, it all helps with putting together the operation.

I have the Haubold with the long nose and wouldn't trade it for any other brand.

Agree with you, some may question the price, but the handling and quality is really great. I just changed the seals on one of my
Haubolds (20yrs old) and it works again perfect.
They are a little bit difficult to come by as their distribution is not as large and Haubold is now owned by kihlberg, another stapler manufacturer.

Just looking around a bit this morning again, and as mentioned they are not in the low price section.
But neither are my snap on or matco  products that carried me through 30 years.
Thought I would post this pic below,  The sites I looked at had some different models this is just one of the new styles.

Thanks you all , its funny a couple years ago I hadn't a clue on any brand staplers .

Are Rainco staplers popular in the states? Around here they are the top end staplers.

Does anyone have any contact info (hopefully Canadian of at least northern US) for Kihlberg? I have one of their old HJO finishing staplers (narrow crown) that I would dearly love to restore; but can't justify shipping from Sweden, and can't find anyone in Winnipeg (nearest big smoke) that can get me parts.

Thanks Wizzard; I'll check those out tomorrow.

Yeah, quite  a few use Rainco, or it's identical twin Fasco.

That Haubold looks like a nice one. But at over $400, I can't imagine that it performs all that much better than a $125 BEA.

Many searches down here I see top seller on the Rainco, I know more than a few members have them and or used them.
I recall some mention the magazine has changed to composite but it lighter to, so something for all.

Its pretty nice finding just what is available and what looks new or actually old but a nice design as some group somewhere "finally " was heard and made a positive change in manufacturing.

Hence the Matco/Armstrong/Snapon/ "gearwrench" in the earlier years

Its been some great input from everyone Way to go!

By the way I found this JK10-670 as interesting also and remember mentioning a Grex had a look similar to these, now exact fastener interchange I didn't look at so good luck if interested.

edit: I found this as interesting, for Grex wanted to share it as I will consider this for a long nose.

Good Day All

You guys are gonna hate me for this..... I'm going to use the C word here.

I just recently ordered a staple gun from China... It costs £35 & the P&P(express option) costs more than the tool its self!!

Two reasons, 1st  leisure class ladies want an extra stapler at no great cost & 2nd it looks just like a BeA.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00OHAFNDI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

I will update on performance & construction once it arrives (after 3Wks)+(didn't pay for express option).

Hate, nope but I would be mucho happy if you sent it to me!
That is a super find no matter what, That's a great deal.
I think its clear anyway more items are produced in China and Asia than we think.

that makes shopping fun
Good day there

Darren,

I love the Rainco, I have had mine since 1998 and still using it today. It feels like the old Duo-Fast guns. You can get one at Albany Foam and Supply for $170 if you are a business. They do not sell the blade and o rings but if you send your gun in, they will rebuild for $70. I just don't like that they replace the old metal magazine with plastic, totally changes the feel and balance of the gun. I have gone to the hardware store and picked up o rings and re welded the blade and the gun is on the third year with my rebuild. Lol
