My son has OCD real bad when it comes to his vehicles. He comes unglued when he waxes them and finds swirl marks. :)

Like JD I put a sheet of masonite over the ply on my table. I do use the foot most of the time. I also cut my vinyl on the masonite with an olfa razor knife weather straight or curves. Cheap and holds up great. Gotten better cutting vinyl with my shears now so mostly just strips with the razor knife.
