Typical walking foot

Has anyone had anything to do with a Typical GC 0302 walking foot machine??

What machine is it a knock off of?

Will it be suitable for canvas work?

i've a Typical 4 thread overlocker - actually it was used in bali by a lady who had a baby clothes biz based from their and perth - it's a beauty and runs like a charm

a bloke here, steve from blackmore and roy, sells Typical machines and that says a lot, have found him very good, certainly knows his stuff

i imagine it's a good machine and prob a copy of a juki or seiko

as you may appreciate it should fly through anything like leather and  charred possum skin [prob could even chew gene's ear off too]

Is compound feed a big deal to you canvas guys? This model doesn't appear to have it.

BTW: You were asking what brand the Typical is a knockoff of. Apparently, their compound feed machines too closely resemble Juki:

I also read that US distributers couldn't convince the Chinese company that the name "Typical" doesn't exactly conjure up a lot of consumer confidence in English speaking countries.

I think I'm going to change my business name to Average Upholstery. :D

I believe they are the same as the Highlead GC0318

i know evan and brian of NEI
they had needles eye industries in malaga for a coupla years only
after buying the name earlier
as think frank passed on
RIP
believe they have since folded and closed shop
and brian now sells parts on line as NEI Spares
it was a big business over here in years gone past
died a natural death i believe 'though

and i'm still kickin' on

would be inclined to say that the chinese highlead is a clone copy of the japanese mitsubishi, and, better metal used in the gutsier older mitsi
highland reasonable, better than most chinese stuff, on par with typical, say
a nimble search on google should ascertain the facts on the particular models

auto trim, auto cut off, auto back tack, servo motor, computer etc
$2.5k firm
japsew brand
juki clone
check out for freight if you are keen
i can pallett up and drop at depot

mate at extreme sails in freo has same one [but no computer auto stuff fitted]
he'll prob buy it if you don't
