I have a number of teachers in my family, but I heard a few years ago that the college major with the lowest incoming SAT average was.... drum roll..... Education.       ( I was proud to be in the major with the highest SAT average.)

If I was Alex's parent, I'd be in the principal's office with this letter demanding Mr. Milliker be fired.  Oh, wait, you probably can't fire him as he's tenured.

I have a good friend who is a retired master teacher.  She told me once that if you kept your mouth shut and didn't do anything like abuse students, you were left pretty much alone to do as much or little as you wanted.

Have you ever noticed that Easter never comes on a Friday? Hummm.

Wow!  But they are beautiful!  When I was a kid, we'd decorate one or two eggs at Easter to keep.  If you take a raw egg and pierce each end with a hole about the size of a #2 pencil lead, pierce the membrane and blow the raw egg out.  Takes a lot of lung power, but you end up with an empty egg shell that'll keep for a while without stinking.
