Need Advice on Binding

On straight edges I prefer a hem.  I topstitch about 1/8" in along the edge to hold the edge neat.

You could always cord the edge.

last one i did was a little awning on a walnmart lawn swing with a 5x3 top with a scolloped vallance  i dond do many when most perople decive they can but a new swing for the cost.

Ha ! Peppy that reminds me of the days when the hanging fuzzy dice were hangin on the rearview mirrors ...rainbow zips would definitely fit in ....heh heh
