Fitting slipcovers in a customer's home

Slip cover market in general could be showing some strength, there are more sectionals sold today compared to years past and some of those represent more linear architectural lines.  That plus the pet factor should bolster the market.

Patterning on the spot to do a sectional sure should have merit for obvious reasons.

A lot of slipcover business would pattern on the spot but carried a portable when delivering the sewn cover in case a resew issue surfaced.  They usually always carried portable cutting tables.

I recall customers who had seasonal covers, while one season was in use the other was in the cleaners and stored until it was time to put those on.

Some really liked them because they could change things in their home and that could happen without buying new furniture all the time.

Like they say, certain stroke for every folk.
