hiya Guys

remember the front cover that i did over the winter and fitted it badly
because of the cold, well i thought i'd try to save it by cutting the bottom edge off
and sewing in a new piece to allow me to move the turnbutton eyelets up a little

well it worked and now looks fine, ignore the date , I didn't reset the
camera after changing the battery.

see how nice and flat the front window is now :-)  thanks guys..

unfortunately the owner didn't winterize the engines so he needs 2 new V8's OUCH !!
as his now have cracked blocks ..

and this is a job i did a week ago, it's a cheat top hehehe
looks like a convertible top but is in fact a pram hood with
US style :-)  the owner loves it as he can have full headroom
and fish from the back in the rain..

They look great Rich. Installed dome covers on a pontoon this morning and tooknthe patterns on that silverton aft cabin here

fragged8

thanks Mike. I'd like to see the Silverton when you've done it.

would you say thats a big job or just average ?

Nice save on the first job, Rich.

The mark of a true professional is that they know how to save something that doesn't look so great!  You've clearly passed the audition.

Big one Rich.  Average is like a  20 yard cover

Beautiful work!
How many hours would you say it took?

JuneC

Looks really good, Rich.  Too bad about the frozen engines...  Bet that's a chunk of change in the UK.  Maybe he'll repower with diesels.

Looks real good Rich!

When you talk about 'pram' tops, that means the curtains don't zip off?

"Pram" is a contraction of "perambulator". It is the buggy that mothers and nannies used to cart their charges around. They were useful in committing crime it would appear.....

hehe
thanks guys I appreciate the kind words, the pram hoods we have here are normal
for my area, they have removable doors that are usually held in with turnbutton fasteners not
zippers, and the aft curtain is part of the hood so not removable but usually has a roll up window.

pretty much the same as a cover on a flat fender willies jeep. this is a poor example
but you get the idea.
BTW not a cover i made :-)

Mike8560
