I stripped an old seat down today that goes in a wicker chair. I've run across many pieces over the years that have been covered over (without removing the old fabric). I started pulling the layers off. 1....2...3...4....5...6..........................11 layers!!!
The last guy who covered it actually had to use roofing nails in order to get through all the layers.
Here's some other personal records for items found in a single piece of furniture:
Most loose change: $28.32
Most batons: 5 (a drill team family)
Most remote controls: 6
Most fingernail clippers: 9
Most cell phones: 4
Most DVD's: 5
Most I-Pods: 2

Was the customer with the bag of weed the same one as the envelope of small bills ? LOL

My old boss claims to have once found a tennis racket in a sofa. I guess if 5 batons fit; it could happen.

3 pneumatic dental drills.

Potato chips, a bunch of them, between the old fabric and the new fabric.

1 staple puller that I use almost every day.

Around 50 small rocks, the ones that are smooth.

Around 25 beer bottle caps from a chair that was used at a bible college by the son of a family that is very religious and in conversation the mom mentioned how happy she was that her son went to a college where there was no drinking. I never told her about the bottle caps.

LOL Boy Darren you gave me thoughts of changing carriers there for a moment :D  Actually the two were years apart.  But the potato chips between fabric layers reminded me of a banana peel I found between layers :o
