Here is how I adjust my bobbin tension.

To tell you the truth I don't know a whole lot about sewing machines and all the different model numbers. Is Neon's machine (Singer 211) a top load or a bottom load?
There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

It seems like when we were using the paper prewound bobbins we were constantly adjusting the tension. Never really thought about it until now. I'm thinking those prewound bobbins aren't consistent in size.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I battled the inconsistency of pre-wounds for years. I went to winding my own, and will never go back. People talk about how much time they save with pre-wounds. I don't see it. It takes less than 10 minutes to wind a day's worth of bobbins every morning.

I don't know about Neon's sewing machine. I have both a top load and a bottom load and I tension the bobbin case the same way.

I've never bought pre wound bobbins. I have a bobbin winder that runs off the sewing machine belt. I wind a bobbin. Then I start a second bobbin and then I begin to sew. And when the first bobbin runs out, I now have a second bobbin ready to use. When that bobbin runs out, I take a coffee break, then rewind the first bobbin again, and start the second one going. Rinse and repeat. Some days I drink a lot of coffee.

QUALITY DOES NOT COST, IT PAYS!

I was walking around in a tag sale and this tin of bobbins was $ 5.00.  I bought them thinking perfect for my 31-15 but when I got back to the shop these cases and bobbins are higher.  The cases say 52473 + 52237
Can they fit my machine although bigger and if not I'd be willing to send them to someone here if they'd want them
