Patio Furniture Covers...Sunbrella?

What is a good fabric to use for the covers to fit over patio furniture to protect them from weather?

I saw some Sunbrella ones once and they were a lightweight version that I am not familiar with.

Sunbrella would be a good choice. Sunbrella comes in two weights. Awning and cushion. Cushion weight being the thinner weight and probably the weight you would want to use for a cover.
