Auto cloth seat repairs

I have noted in my auto original seat cloth repair business, more and more of the cloth just isn't available.  Had five jobs this past week there was no cloth available.

Don't know why unless the manufacturers don't have the residual of cloth they used to in past years (computers and tracking could be the reason). 

I buy the OEM sample books on the cars which are around ($200) per year which covers all cars for the year.  If the cloth isn't going to be available, why buy?

Too bad for all for repairing with mismatch cloth doesn't turn out the same.

Any common experience?
