Didn't mean to start a flame war.  I was just curious about the smiley issue.  I agree with Gene that smiley's would clarify jokes, sarcasm, etc., they are not worth the kind of expense Darren is talking about.  Plus that blue and white screen absolutely sucks!

If I sounded like I was being critical of the administrator for not fixing the smileys, I'm not.
I see no reason to go to any great expense just to restore little happy faces. Especially since the forum isn't getting anywhere near the activity that it used to.

I think the main reason we lost so many loyal members is because the smileys stopped working.
