horsehair replacment

I am replacing some old  button cushions that all have horse hair. Some are very thin. no more than an inch , other a window seat is  three inches  My question is , What is a good replacement for the horse hair, especially for the thin cushions .

If they want the antiquity of it you need to reuse and add more hair. If they just want a new cushion to be comfortable use foam with a dacron wrap. You could also use Kapok for that old time feel. Messy but one of a kind.
