Does anybody out there have any experience, thought or opinion on referal sites like Angies List or Home Advisors? Thanks

On the vendor side, Angie's list let me sign up for free, since it hasn't really caught on yet in my area. That was 3 years ago.......it still hasn't caught on.

On the consumer side, they immediately bombarded my inbox with spam e-mails. I would go to the bottom and click "unsubscribe", but soon found that  they break their e-mail lists into a million different categories, so just because you unsubscribe from one, it doesn't stop them from flowing in.

I finally had to cancel Angie's list completely. I have no use for it as a vendor or consumer.
