Hello all nice experienced and knowledgable operators and trimmers:

If I use a #69 thread for the top thread should I use a smaller size in the bobbin?
I am supposed to use a left twist on the top for this machine but the twist
does not matter in the bottom according to the manual.

Thanks.

Generally you use the same thread top & bottom.
On occasion I might use a 138 on the top & 92 on the bottom, but only for some top stitching , I use the 92 simply because you get more on the bobbin than the 138.

Thanks for the reply. I am slowly learning things and the help here is wonderful
One day I hope to be an accomplished operator/trimmer.

Thanks and keeping the head to grindstone.

Me too.  I usually keep the top and bottom thread the same unless I'm doing some fancy topstitching (and go bigger on the needle thread).
