Can you tell me what it would cost to recover this set using a soft leatherette vinyl ?

I have a friend that has one in his coach and wants it recovered. Paul I would be very curious on your quote since your local.

Here is the outift:  http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BGFN2J4/ref=asc_df_B00BGFN2J42660891?smid=A1E30TJRW9IQIG&tag=nextagusmp0425571-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395105&creativeASIN=B00BGFN2J4

Thanks gang,

Chris

Hi Chris,

You're looking at an knockoff of a Stressless recliner. Stressless makes a decent chair. Hard to pattern some but pretty simple and comfortable.

The cost to recover one is more than the price your looking at on Amazon. Id say in a good grade faux leather around 550-600.

It would probably be a little cheaper around here. Maybe $475-$525. But frankly, if the customer said "Never mind", it wouldn't hurt my feelings.

I quote 2 or 3 of those a year. Never get the job. I guess they all go to Amazon.

Thanks guys. I kinda figured it would cost more to recover and told them that but wanted to be sure. I will tell them to buy a new one then.

Lots of detailed sewing and patterning in that one Mojo. And often they need adjustments when putting them back together. I'd rather do one in a nice soft leather but the vinyl is soooo much cheaper. Notice all the top stitching around  the perimeter of the back, arms and ottoman. $399 sounds too good to be true. How can they even make the frame at that price?
There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

Ed:

I have two in my coach that I bought in 2005 through an online company. They got daily use for several years and are still in great shape. I paid about $ 500 for the pair ( $ 250 each ). It was a clearance item. I thought they would be cheap and only last a couple years but show no signs of giving up and have very little wear.

I am always amazed at the low prices of some things we buy in life. I am going to assume they were made in China. :)
