Me im behind so tomorow ill be sewing   a full mooring cover for a whaler. Then later ill hed out on my. Ost to watch the fireworks on the harbor. I hate holidays  they  mess up my work week

I am working.  ;D

I have to prepare ahead for working on the holidays, the Marina's in ALicante are more or less right in the city so get filled up with people parking up for the 'festivities' and the beaches. So I try to make sure I have enough work stacked up in the workshop & don't need to go there.

It's so annoying when customers are only here for the weekend & it happens to be a fiesta as well, they just don't think that I might not be working  >:(  then it's a quick trip on the motor bike  ;D

I have a few "thises and thats" to attend to today, too.  Nothing really big, but since the town will be crawling with "people from away" staying home makes the most sense!

The 4th, Vet's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day.....I work 'em all. New Year's Day too.
Customers always make plans to come in to my shop on these days. With few exceptions, they never do. They have the best of intentions, but with so many things to catch up on, the upholsterer gets squeezed out of the equation.
Downtown Greenville will be a ghost town today (it ain't like it was a thriving megapolis anyway).

I have two orders to fill and am fighting timelines with shipping so will be sewing today. One is going to Michigan but the other is going to Washington State. Just shipped one out to a Buffalo farm in Cheyenne Wyoming yesterday.

The great part is that these are my last two orders. I have no orders on the board till September so am hoping I wont get anymore until the big rush starts this fall. I have way to many house projects to complete and I need to get started on the final run of chemo for the year.

My wife is in Australia till the 18th so I am left working in the shop and the house. Sure has been quiet here without her. I still have the three knuckleheads ( German Shepherds ) to keep me company though. :)

Hay Chris, hows the new pup doing

My 4th will be spent doing tons of neglected yard work. And wash the mud off the van.

This morning I escorted my wife out of the neighborhood in her Cougar for the first time in over a week. Her boss doesn't know what "Holiday" means.
There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

Not me  ;D  Lots of stuff to do, but I'm refusing.  A little extra down time is great!

I got a big job done last Saturday. Anything else I told the customers not til
after the fourth. Sunday - Tuesday went to PA to see the folks who can't get
around much anymore. Yesterday went to a local parade where my son's band
performed.

I don't commit to work I can't get done a few days before a holiday anymore. I
need a life too. Don't know how many times a customer needed a rush job for the
big weekend, got it done then they didn't use their boat.
