Automotive style boat seats

Have any of you marine folks seen theese yet this was my second one only the caltians helm seat. This was in a starcraft pontoon
Had long J bead that hooked into the metal bar and had a few hogrings. I biught a box 25 years ago when inwas fixing a guy truck seats he tefurb a truck give the bench seat to me then sell.
Ill never finnish this box

The arms are trick to figure out the first time  you have to push it in about 1/2" then rotate it about 3/4 the way ariund backwards then it will remove out a keyway.
Vets prety rusty though in the marine enviorment   I dont think it will be around long

Manart sells stainless hog rings for joining bungee cord, but that's ridiculous for a marine seat!  Never seen one built like that.  One or two seasons and it'll be done - at least along the coast.  Maybe on an inland lake it'll last till the vinyl's done then it will be garbage.  Not a bad idea if you could get all the parts in stainless, but I've never heard of stainless zig-zag springs  ::)

I repaired a seat like that a couple of years ago. It was also on a pontoon boat, don't remember the brand. The steel was a rusted mess and the boat was only about six years old and only been in fresh water.

So many of these pontoon seats are made to get the boat off the showroom floor and thats about it  >:(

Yes well this boat was only 2 years old and the vinly was all sunburnt. So its all got to go
