How many times have I told myself, if somebody had just told me don't do that I wouldn't have done it. Truth is every time I've made bad decisions people WERE telling me not to do it. In the end things always turn out alright.

Always listen to what people are saying and then do whats right for you.

I like what is going on here, this is how teamwork, coaching, encouragement and constructive advice should work.  A very pragmatic way to learn.

Special thanks to Chris for his input.

Doyle:  I have to agree, we have a great community here, its really great to bounce ideas off one another and get others perspectives.  I know what Chris means by having other eyes look at our business, because the owner gets buried in it and cant see the forest through the trees thing all to well!

When my wife and I first started our business in 1988 we were both kinda scared. But I assured her that if you treat your customer like you like to be treated they will keep coming back. Also 3 things to give customers confidence. Always return calls and e-mails. Show up on time for appointments. Know your product and have confidence in what your selling.

Even if its only selling a stick of candy to a child give them the feeling of enhancement.
