I need ideas to paint/ dye trim

I'm  motivated to upgrade my interior.  Its very dirty from the former owner. What do you guys use to paint interior trims? Ive heard of a few companies that sell oem color but they scratch and fade.

What methods are used for long term oem quality?  Its a tan interior color , very grayish and i would like to do like a browinish or orange tint tan color but i don't want to ruin it instead of making it better.
