Windshield Clips

I make myself a little tool out of an allen key. I just file a little chisel point on the biggest key that fits in that little groove above the clip.

Then you slide it in the grove and use it to lever up the flange on the clip. *PING*! This saves you from digging gouges in the window. Super handy when your doing a tonne.

If they were sliding, grab them with your side cutter and give it a bend.

I usually use my other hand to give it a little kink. Hard with a camera. Now you can put it back in and it won't slide!

Some times I want to put turnbuckles in a windshield. Sometimes I'm to chicken to drill into the windshield for fear of breaking the glass (hey, I only did it once), or it's nice to be able to skooch turnbuckles a little to the left.

squish off the snap on two windshieldclips.

put a male stud back in the hole where the snap attached

with the male/stud die in the top and the female/socket in the plunger set it. Repeat.

Finished turnbuckle on windshield clips.

On the boat.
