Hello everyone, i was wondering if any of you knew where I can get Detroit sample books for cheep. I checked on their website and saw that the price for these books are high and wanted to buy used books for a fraction of the price but cant find them anywhere.

That'll be tough to find. I have a complete set back to the early 60's and was able to buy some extras a few years back from a shop going out of business. I sold them to another shop for about what they cost new. They don't lose their value. But bear in mind that anything much older than 8-10 years won't do you any good anyway (in some cases even 4-5 years). I get my books each year from my supplier and I think I paid about $80 for the  2010 book. The more you buy from a supplier the cheaper the books get. I think straight price is about $150. Now having said all that, you can find samples online. Miami Corp has all their books online using hi rsolution photography. On a lot of stuff as long as you know what kind of car it is you can figure it out but on some cloths it is hard to see the subtle differences even with hi resolution.
