So, is it me, or have we been getting a lot of spam on this board lately?

I think the mod is staying busy with trying to keep it off. I will notice spam if I check early in the morning. I report it to the mod.

I had no idea what you were talking about until now. I just reported two of these to the mod.

I'm not sure how it works, but my guess is that an automatic software program has found an easy way to register with this board.

There's legislation in the Congress to make the internet a "utility", giving the government total control and the ability to tax it. I wonder if this will get rid of spam, or will the spam just change from porn to political ads?

taxing the web is just a money generator, there is no way on this earth they can stop spam coming from
every country in the world ?

It really eats the government up thinking we can get anything for free..

I've got the settings set as high as I know how and they still get through.  I wish I could make it so that I had to approve new members before they post.  I have a Yahoo forum that I can monitor their first few posts to see if they're legit before giving them free reins.

OK, I just tried making another change.  Now either me or Ken will have to approve new members.
