theater seats

The manager of an historic theater called, they want 900 seats upholstered. We are a small shop and could handle one to two hundred, but 900 would overwhelm us.
Is there anyone out there who does this type of work?
Someone posted a while back about traveling to sites and doing this sort of thing, I can't find them.
Do any of you have any advice to offer?

Sub contract part of the work.  Keep tear down and assembly work in house and send out making the covers.  

You spec materials, and source.  You supply patterns so sub work looks the same.

I may take several small shops to get it all done, but it sounds like a pretty big pie to split up.  

You may have a sub-contracting base right here???

Ask to schedule all 900 over a few months.

We do those jobs and Loren comments  apply.

We dedicate the van to the project (saves loading and unloading tools/supplies several times before project completion).  Another time saver is do everything on site except the sewing to reduce handling of seats.  Portable tables are essential.  We take the project in bites, just tear down the seats that will be completed that day, this simplifies project focus and permits interim usage of the room, as a just in case thing.

Repetitive jobs in our business can make the IRS happy.
