Hand Sewing

Every once in a while I will install a completed cover only to find a small area where the binding was not quite in place when stitched down or some other small mistake. Does anyone ever hand stitch these goof ups rather than removing the cover and taking it back to the machine? If so, what would be the recommended method, sewing awl or ???

Curved needle Sam thread and try to make the stitch look like the machine. Sew into well machine stitch an inch and it won't come apart.

I have put a regular sewing machine needle in an awl haft and stitched with #69 thread in cases like that.

Thanks gentlemen, these are both good tips. I made the mistake of using a sewing awl once but with the gigantic needle and string like thread it came with. I am going to put together a little hand stitching kit for future fixes.

I have used needles from one of my Consew 206RB in my Speedy Stitcher.
