We just updated our jobs page - loaded with lots of new employment opportunities in the field of auto upholstery.

One such gig is upholstering US Army Tanks. Check it out: http://tinyurl.com/buugu4f

Army tanks. Hmm. I wonder if you need experience.
Viewing the different job sites there always seems to be openings in California and Texas.
The Seattle Washington job looks interesting. Fair wage but qualifications...
Canvas
Home Furnishings
Antiques
Auto
Yacht
Carpeting
Motorcycle Seats

Talk about doing it all. Only thing they left out is aircraft. I'm sure that was just an oversight. Looks like they need to hire two or three people. I know there are a few people on this forum who could fill the job but if I had all those skills I'd need to make a little more than $17 an hour. Then again maybe I'm just a diehard furniture snob.
There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

Upholstery in Tanks? I was in a Tank unit back in the early 80's and don't recall there being much upholstery inside a tank back then, just a lot of metal to bump your head, elbows and knees into. My how times have changed  ;D

I remember when the Canadian army brought out padded seats and heaters in the backs of the gun tractors. They weren't unlike the gym mats we all had in high school, but we thought we were living in the lap of luxury. Now I hear they even have coffee makers in them.
