I need to put a 2" contrast fabric banding along the bottom face of a cornice board. The bottom edge is curved. What technique do you use to do this?

Thank you,

Gene

How about a shirred band, much like on a headboard?

depends how much of a curve it is. If its fairly shallow I would use a backtack strip. If it's quite a deep curve I would make a pattern and cut and sew it on first.

If your a good carpenter you could router a groove two inches up from the bottom. Use that to end your top fabric and start your bottom fabric then fill the groove with cording.
