Looks great Mike. I agree with Chris about slowing down the pictures.

Links below. Its Blue sunbrella. The white is the acrylic 2 edge turned from Rochford. Its the same as sunbrella 1" double edge turned and it may be sunbrella, Rochford just doesn't call it that. The curve has a Diameter of 6.5 inches. The first curve i did on it was a 1.5 inch Diameter and the sunbrella binding doesn't want to lay very flat, but that is due to how tight that curve is. The binding will only stretch so much.

  Does it handle double-fold Sunbrella binding? 

Yes, with no issues.

can do. I will sit down later today and run a few test samples through the binder for you and take pictures.

I used the thumb screw instead of the dark screw. It made more sense to me if/when  I needed to remove it and get it out of the way.

I must say it really is the hot ticket for binding. I did a lot of binding with that susei swing arm binder. Curves and corners on the swing arm are a PITA compared to the angle binder.  I was impressed that I didnt need to slow my stitch for curves. Definitely a time saver. Wish i would have bought one sooner.

Anyone have a recommendation for sew tags? I am looking to add them to the canvas I make for customers. If anyone has a  website address for companies they are using that would be great!

I read a thread on here about angle binders not too long ago so I ordered on from Gregg Monday. I have to say its the best binder I have used to date. Goes around corners and turns with ease.


And thanks to Gregg too! Once received, I had it on the machine minutes, adjusted, and binding like a champ!

rain and wind event here in VA. most everyone removed their canvas goods prior to the storm.

I have to get a website done.  Just thinking about it makes me tense because I don't have a ton of money to spend getting one done.  I have secured my domain name, though!

Did you do that one yourself?  Did you use a template?

And isn't it amazing how little spelling errors and typos manage to slip by you regardless of how many times you proof read something??

Yeah, i did it myself. Net Objects Fusion came with templates. I took one that i liked and hacked it up. I needed some place to start so that was it. Plus i am still learning NOF so i will improve it.. I bought my domain and hosting through godaddy.com. I cant tell you how many times i proof read that site.

yeah Im just north of Norfolk Naval Base. Traffic on Rt 17 through gloucester is getting bad with folks evacuating from the south. We have a lot of low lying areas but im staying put.

i had a similar problem when i went to dabond 138 on my consew. I ended up purchasing more bobbin cases and setting one up specifically for 138 thread. I had to flex the tensioner on the bobbin case out a bit. Using the screw to tension would result in a lost bobbin tensioning screw. My suggestion, if you are going to use different size and types of thread, set up a bobbin case for each one. That would only leave you adjusting tension on the machine itself and you would never have to mess with the bobbin case again.
