The "JUNK" Room / Re: Marine malarky

  You are probably right June,
Then again it could be where my last apprentice had a go at it with a heat gun !
Good job I kicked him down the road , I think he went to work for
Made in the shade or Wycap..

Wow , Styrofoam egg chair circa 1968 'till mid 70s, I know the type of chair well.
White vinyl eh ?  hope it's stretchy..
If I were you I would go for just a single top stitch for strong seam ( hope you didn't snipp your salvage all the way to the first seam)  on the out side of the chairs curves.
No need for pins tape or glue , only fingers and thumbs.

"Precautionary note" DO NOT attempt  to use spray glue or contact glue anywhere on the styrofoam shell. it tends to melt it in to goo. !
Good luck,  ???

Sorry no trix,
Just a few illusions a spot of conjuring and some juggling of  time and finances  thrown in there and asif by magic it appears on the boat !

Must be slowing down in my old age this one took  11 hours from pattern to fit,
There was a  howling zephyr  that was blowing across the marina while patterning.
But that's no excuse eh?
Really ..... It's only girls work eh, Playing with fabrics and sewing machines ! ; ::)

Hasta luego, Cabeza hueca

I like a tight one myself,
But you guys might enjoy it floppy and wrinkly here and there  !

1) yes... I like hearing what the owners want ( would like ) and then making something outstanding,  A quote from the tv  " You're going to like the way looks I guarantee it" .
2) switch from design to looking to make the systems swifter and make the boring things as fast as possible..
3)Hmm..... Kinda like translating the laymens thinking (owners) and then making a product  that is far better and easier to make and use...
4)... O hell no , it's only girls work , playing with fabric when all said and done , I do tend to look at others work with my critical eye, ( the left one the other one is lazy and makes me look like Marty  Feldman) ....
Good questions  Bobbin, It had me quite self concious there for a moment....  ::)
Why do I do what I do ...... just for the $

Yeah just a little , but it made my eyes go funny !

On the subject of big ones.....
Sorry no pix of my own (too rushed to get it all done)  and only exterior covers on the outside seating areas ..... But what a fkn monster all 191ft of floating carbon.
Apparently the largest carbon fibre yacht to date,
and still a cutter rigged sloop.  I'm sure you will see the more pix button.

I get this sometimes as well, usually with the wider frames 2.5 / 3m plus.
I get the feeling that it's just the expanse & the pole is bowing inwards

si exactamente jefe, un mas fasil reparation hacer poco mas curva en el tubo.

Just can't get the staff !
Apprentice  required,  As the skinny streak of urine stood next to this Chris Craft  is leaving me . just when I said that I would teach him everything I know. (wont take more than a morning) Getting too old now to be jumping on and off boats, Bending over backward for the owners and too set in my ways to listen to their clap~trap. I'll just sit here and do the 'girls work' , put in a few wobbly stitches here and there and answer the phone.
The 'new apprentice' should  be fluent in the dot method  and jump when shouted at (in either spanish or english, cabron !) work with a positive attitude , not too cocky because  those who think they know everything will annoy those of us that do.. Work hours are sun up 'till sun down and payment ,  Well,   I'll teach 'em a craft and give them the business upon my retirement and only ask $1200 a month untill I'm dead....      Sound fair enough?       please advise.......

So you want clickable pix
You should be able to see where I razor knifed the sunbrella-plus just shy of the second line of wobbly stitching, Must admit the 1" straps holding it on the back bar seem a little anorexic wrapped around that 3" bar.. I think I over did it with the roll up internal zippered  sunshades tho'..
Sorry, I can't tell you the name of the boat or the location, But with the landmark in the shot, I'm sure you can guess.
No..... it's not in P.B Rybovich marina
Thnx
