Does anyone else do what I do, when installing the cover I've made using vinyl on a seat cushion for a pontoon, restaurant, or similar I warm it in the clothes dryer to make it more pliable so it stretches into place easier.

General Discussion / An extra midweek funnie

He has two girlfriends

There was this guy and he had a girlfriend called Lorraine who was very pretty and he liked her a lot.

One day he went to work to find that a new girl had started. Her name was Clearly and she was absolutely gorgeous. He became quite besotted with her and after a while it became obvious that she was interested in him too.

But this guy was a loyal man and he wouldn't get involved with Clearly while he was still going out with Lorraine.

He decided that there was nothing for it but to break up with her and get it on with the new girl.

He planned several times to tell Lorraine but he couldn't bring himself to do it. One day they went for a walk along the river bank when Lorraine slipped and fell in to the river. The current carried her off and she drowned.

The guy stopped for a moment by the river and then ran off smiling and singing: "I can see Clearly now Lorraine has gone"

TWO NORWEGIANS ON LAKE SUPERIOR

One day two Minnesotans, Ole and Sven, found themselves adrift in a lifeboat on Lake Superior. While rummaging through the boat's provisions, Ole stumbled across an old lamp.

He rubbed the lamp vigorously and suddenly, a genie came forth. This Genie, however, stated that he could only deliver one wish, not the standard three. Without thinking, or consulting Sven, Ole immediately blurted out, 'turn the entire lake into Schmidt beer'.

The genie clapped his hands with a deafening sound, and immediately Lake Superior turned into Schmidt beer and just as quickly the genie vanished.

Now only the gentle lapping of beer on the hull broke the stillness as the two men considered their new circumstances.

Sven looked disgustedly at Ole whose wish had been granted, and after a long tension-filled moment, Sven said, "Nice going Ole!

Now we're going to have to pee in the boat."

A fifteen year old Amish boy and his father were in a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked, 'What is this Father?'
The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, 'Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is.'

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in a wheel chair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened, and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small numbers above the walls light up sequentially.

They continued to watch until it reached the last number... and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order.
Finally the walls opened up again and a gorgeous 24-year-old blond stepped out.

The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, said quietly to his son.....

'Go get your Mother'

General Discussion / using ozone to kill mold
February 21, 2011, 08:52:25 pm
I suggested in a post named "Moldy Vinyl & Foam Removal -- Best Approach?" that placing foam and vinyl in a confined area with an ozone generator might kill the mold. Does anyone have any experience doing this and have you noticed any negative effects to the foam? I used an ozone generator extensively in apartments that had been smoked in and it worked wonders with the smell but you still had to clean up the stains.

General Discussion / Machine & clutch motor free!
February 09, 2011, 11:45:43 am
My wife and I have our home for sale and are trying to get rid of stuff rather than move it, I have an old singer 1641 that has a spring loaded foot, and also a good low hours clutch motor, and top, the only thing you'd need is a set of K legs and you'd have a working machine. Now for the price: Free if picked up in Wausau, Wisconsin (all or nothing, and I wont ship)

Pictures can be seen in this post:

This is a legit Email program with lots of narations and sound effects. Many people that install it want it gone and they it seams have made it close to impossible to remove, It hijacks your computer and will only allow you to use there own search engines and the like. In addition it forced there program My Start on me causing my Firefox browser to be unusable since it hid all the controls! Stay clear of this program or you may have to format your computer and reinstall the operating system! Oh Ya I got involved with it because they offered narrated greating cards for free.

I'm often guilty of making off topic posts I hope no one will take issue with this topic:  This is the time of year that I look back and reflect, many of the board regulars have experienced serous health issues over the past year as well as losses of loved ones. Currently Chris/ Mojo and Mike8560 are dealing with some pretty serious issues I'd like to think that our thoughts and prayers now and throughout the new year will help. If there are any others that we know off that should be mentioned here please add there name as  we want no one forgotten.

May God Bless, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

General Discussion / Mooring cover for Pontoon
December 09, 2010, 06:35:23 pm
I'm planning on doing a mooring cover for my 24-foot pontoon, something I never have done before. Needless to say I plan on seeking out some 2nd's, as I don't want to waste too much on this learning experience. I've seen many covers made with 60" widths of fabric running from side to side, wouldn't it be easier to have two runs of fabric the length of the boat with a seam in the middle? Any input would be appreciated.

General Discussion / Sad News
October 26, 2010, 05:11:18 pm

I have some very sad news out of Duluth, Minnesota this morning to share with you.  This will bring about change in North & South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and parts of Canada.  This will bring far reaching ramifications that will strike at the very core of our Midwest Heritage and Souls.

I must report the tragic news that OLE was SHOT.  He was up by the Canadian border on his 4 Wheeler cutting some trees when some rangers looking for Terrorists spotted him.  According to the news reports, the Rangers shouted to him over a loudspeaker, "Who are you and what are you doing?"
    OLE shouted back, "OLE.....BIN LOGGIN!"
OLE is survived by his wife LENA and good friend SVEN.
Note: You've got to be from the Midwest to understand this one.

Below you will find several guides that were posted a year or more ago in a thread that I started, I've grouped them all together for your convenience.  I thank all the original posters as these have helped me and many others I would expect.
