I really appreciate all the feedback. So I ended up purchasing the Consew 206RB5 with the servo motor. I can always get a lighter machine later.

I purchased the Juki DU1181 at my last job and it is a dream. This Juki is a walking foot and has all the options the bigger machines have. It is a lighter machine then must upholsterers use. This 1181 works great on all fabrics and I moved to the Cape and Islands where we use a lot of linens and Sunbrella's so I have no need for the larger machine. Don't get me wrong this machine sews right through upholstery grade leather.  I highly recommend the Juki DU1181 to everyone. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.

Do you know anything about Reliable, Tacsew walking foot machines. My dream is the Juki DN1181, but can afford only used at this point. And does anyone know, anyone selling a machine right now. Thank you   

Here's another suggestion that works great and beefs up the strength of the springs. You can weave 2 or 3 inch  elastic webbing across the ziggers and staple on both ends. This works awesome. It really firms up the seat.

you could also use hideagimp. there are several options on trimming the piece. have you thought about double welt? I bet the endcaps come off and are upholstered separately. you will have to let us all know and definitely post pictures of before and after

I do not do boats and I do not give discounts unless they pay in cash. I find, anytime you give someone a discount or a deal they are the pickiest customers and in the end you lose money. If they don't like your quote, they can go somewhere else. You get what you pay for...

I am unaware of a new zigger spring style. There is back spring which is lighter and the seat spring which is pretty heavy duty. Granted the market is flooded with many copies. So in this case a picture is worth a thousand words. You could try Albany Foam and Supply.

I USED YELLOW PAGES for my first business back in 1998 and closed in 2001 due to divorce. The ad was cancelled in '01 but the ad is still there. I reopened under another Name in 06 and dropped the ad in 07 and it is still in the book, now in 12. So in my opinion it is good to advertise the first year and then drop it. I steam Vinyl and it works great inside and out. It softens and allows for incredible stretch and when it dries it shrinks a little and tightens everything up. I am currently upholstering a lot of office chairs, Love the steam.
