Thanks for the info, I will try it. Is the 2000 size equivalent to 138 polyester?

General Discussion / Solar fix thread
January 23, 2014, 03:46:25 am
 Hi all,
I have been using Tenara thread on and off for some time now, and want to start using PTFE thread exclusively on all my new jobs. What are peoples opinion between Tenara and Solarfix? I have to do a lot of machine adjustments (Highlead GC0618-1SC walking foot) with tenara. Just curious which one sews better. Thanks.

General Discussion / Ford F-150
August 21, 2013, 03:06:42 am
Good morning all,
I have a customer with a 1998 Ford F-150 Lariet that needs the drivers side seat redone and new foam. Doing mostly marine work I don't have a vendor for OEM parts for such a thing. Do any of you car guys and gals have any ideas? I would prefer for time reasons to just be able to buy the skins and install them rather than remake everything from scratch. Thank you.

I just have a 3'x2' thick piece from an old glass desk. Just have to move it each time you need to move along the cut but no big deal. Check with a local glass and mirror shop for any old and or broken jobs, could pick something up for short money.

Try cutting on a piece of glass. Works well for sailcloth and nylon spinnaker fabrics.

Try Manart Hirsch. It is called Hartz marine topping.

I buy pre-made welt as much as possible. The time saved is huge, and you bill the customer accordingly.Pre-made vinyl welt is already pre-slit which is very nice.
