hello all. I have taken a break from the boards, but not work. My question is this...........does anyone know of any other companies besides SMS that offers the same service that they do as far as color & grail match of vinyl? I do a lot of vintage work, especially on snowmobiles, and need to have a faster turn around time for product. Kevin at Phantom no longer does this. Thank you in advance.

I would also be interested in seeing these as I have been researching label companies..................90% of my work stays outdoors so it needs to hold up to the weather too.

if he hasn't done so already he'll want to check the rules where he plans to race-some have restrictions on modifying the seat

I cut up what gets to be too small & make dog beds for my friends-I charge them for the materials & throw in the labor- we are both happy. I use a lot of the 1/4" sew foam & cut the scraps into tiny pieces that I stuff the pillows of my granny launchers (slingback rockers) with. A shredder sure would come in handy for both projects ................right now hubby will sit & chop while watching tv  ;D

I am also looking for the burnt orange color with a very rough grain. I am using the tiger lily right now as it is the closest I can get, but for some customers it is not close enough. If you do find some please pass along the info & I will do the same  ;)

isnt it a little early for the sled seat to start comming in  Imeen its still august ::)

no way-I do them all year long! The nights are really getting cool now anyway-in the 40's this week.

I've used the morben rush & wave "vibrant" on many cats & all customers were very happy with the color. It has a -25 cold crack. I have even done my own seat with it & have put over 6,000 miles on it with no problems-it's eye catching & usually gets me a few jobs when seen.

actually he charges more than I do!

I get asked to fix a certain guys seats all the time-I won't do it. It would take me longer to fix his mess than to remake one the right way. Most will have me stitch up a new one.
As someone already said-I don't want my name & rep associated with the bad jobs-I've worked too hard to get where I am now.

I have had one servo for 3 years & bought another last year for one of my other machines-my ears buzz all by themselves so I love the quiet motor!  I too would buy another if one failed in 5 years-I tried to sell my clutch motor but no one wanted it-so I guess I'll hang on to it for a spare.
