Manufacturing and export here in Canada is starting to kick into high gear. However the cost of resources to do the manufacturing has gon up so the profit margin is there, just not as great as the manufacturers would like. The down side is we import a lot of food from the US and other countries and our cost of living takes a beating. It is such a convoluted system that one does not gain without the other suffering.

on some cushions I cut and grind with a grinder. On some I cut out a notch around the foam, anywhere from 1/2" to 3/4" depending on the radius I want. Spray in glue and join. When this method is used you can add a strip of cloth over the finished edge for added security.
It makes a beautiful rounded edge with no grinding. If you want a much larger radius the other method is probably better

I use it a lot. I really can be put on a lot of seats with no seam at all. I use it to cover dirt bike seats for that reason.

Thanks. I think I will try epoxy and a splint. Sounds weird but Industrial plastics says it will work.
I never thought of using the plastic cover to hold them together. I will give it try.

Hi everyone. I have a pile of metal tack strip pieces, I was wondering if anyone has come up with a way of attaching two or more pieces together so they don't have to be thrown away? I find limited opportunity to use these small strips.

On another note. I ran out of plastic covers for these strips and didn't have time to wait for delivery. I put 1" masking tape on the back and folded it over. Lies flatter than with the plastic and leaves no raised marks.

4' sections with a base return @ 25 degrees and a back angel of 15 degrees. The sections have removable seat and back rest. How it's upholstered is still up to the customer.

I take all of my remnants to our local high school. They use them in the sewing classes. I have even seen some of the results. The kids get very imaginative.

Could anyone help me find some plans for banquette seating.  It's going to be about 16' long but I am going to build it in 4' sections.
Basic plans will work and I can modify them from there. Thanks in advance.
